What We Do

What We Do At NCIE - UK

Our purpose

Supporting the Nigerian Community in Edinburgh

NCIE-UK is committed to building a strong and supportive network for Nigerians living in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Through community initiatives, advocacy, and engagement programs, we work to empower individuals and strengthen cultural connections.

Our activities focus on providing opportunities, promoting inclusion, and supporting the welfare of Nigerians and other minority communities across Scotland.

Our Key Focus Areas

Expanding Opportunities

We work to expand opportunities for Nigerians living in Scotland by creating platforms for networking, collaboration, and personal development. Through partnerships and community initiatives, we help individuals access resources that support growth and success.

Community Programs

Our Community Programs

NCIE-UK runs several initiatives aimed at supporting community members and improving quality of life for Nigerians and other minority groups in Edinburgh.

Our programs include digital literacy training, youth initiatives, diversity projects, and ethnic minority empowerment programs designed to strengthen both individuals and the wider community.

Food and Financial Support

NCIE-UK runs food and donation drives to assist families and individuals experiencing financial hardship or food insecurity. These efforts help ensure vulnerable community members receive the support they need during difficult times.

Football Charity Program

Our football charity initiative creates opportunities for young individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds to participate in organised football tournaments and coaching sessions. These programs promote physical activity, teamwork, and community spirit.

Health Awareness Seminars

We organise seminars and workshops covering important health topics such as mental health awareness, healthy living, disease prevention, and access to healthcare services.

Cultural and Educational Events

Our cultural and educational events celebrate Nigerian heritage while promoting cultural exchange within Edinburgh. These events also provide opportunities for members to develop new skills and strengthen community connections.
