Building a Stronger Community
Nigerian Community in Edinburgh (NCIE-UK) is a registered social enterprise based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The organisation was established to support Nigerians living in Edinburgh and surrounding areas by promoting unity, cultural identity, and community development.
Our goal is to create a supportive network where Nigerians can connect, grow, and contribute positively to society while maintaining strong cultural values.
Through community programs, partnerships, and events, NCIE-UK works to empower individuals and strengthen the Nigerian presence in Edinburgh.
Our Story
The Nigerian Community in Edinburgh was created to bring Nigerians in the city together, provide support to new immigrants, and foster opportunities for growth and collaboration.
What started as a small initiative has quickly grown into a vibrant and active community organisation dedicated to improving the lives of Nigerians living in Edinburgh.

The organisation began its community engagement activities in Edinburgh, bringing Nigerians together through networking, cultural gatherings, and support initiatives aimed at strengthening community connections and building a foundation for long-term impact.

December 2023
NCIE-UK was officially registered as a social enterprise organisation in Scotland, marking an important milestone that enabled the community to expand its programs, partnerships, and structured initiatives supporting Nigerians in Edinburgh.
2024 - Present
January 2024
The community reached a milestone of over 1,000 registered members, demonstrating rapid growth and strong engagement as Nigerians across Edinburgh joined the organisation to connect, collaborate, and support one another.
